BNU Dance Club offers a variety of dance styles for all club members to partake in and thoroughly enjoy. The club welcomes competitive, non-competitive, and social members and it is completely FREE to join us. We offer bi-weekly masterclasses in a range of different styles and bi-weekly technique sessions. These classes and sessions are taught by professionals in the industry, Bucks Alumni students, and our very own club members. The weekly masterclasses consist of dance styles such as:
The club also offers technique sessions in all competitive styles so that any noncompetitive members can join to improve and work towards teams and build confidence. These sessions are open to all levels, and we encourage anyone to join.
As the club accommodates all members, including non-competitive and social members, we host socials every Wednesday. These socials enable old and new members to get to know each other in a friendly environment – whilst having fun! We hold joint socials with other clubs and societies to mix with other students. We offer several opportunities for all members – such as ‘Days Out’ and ‘Sober Socials’ within and outside the university!
Here at Bucks, we hold our very own BNU Dance Competition in our Events Hall. Universities from around the United Kingdom attend our dance competition to perform and demonstrate their remarkable talent. From our latest Competition Season, we gained 25 trophies from 4 competitions! We are eager to maintain our reputation within the next Competition Season with brand new teams.
BNU Dance Club are holding auditions for 6 Competition Teams this year. These include:
BNU Dance Competition is scheduled to take place between 09:00 – 17:00 in the Events Hall on Saturday 9th March 2024! We cannot wait to see all the fresh talent this year!
