Raise and Give (RAG) is the area of the Union that raises money for charity. Each year we focus on local charities which you get to vote on, so the power is really in your hands. RAG simply wouldn't be a success without the commitment and dedication of our members who organise and manage our fundraising events.
These fundraising events are for all members and help to raise money whilst having fun. Getting involved in RAG has several benefits and will look great on your CV as employers love to see resilience in graduates.
We will be hosting one local RAG charity; the RAG ambassadors will be holding two RAG weeks in the academic year. These weeks are full of fun and great activities to get involved in. Keep an eye on the What’s on page to see all the activities we have to offer.

Thames Valley Air Ambulance 🚁
The RAG charity for 2026/27 is Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
They provide life-saving emergency care across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, bringing hospital-level treatment directly to patients by road and air.
Unlike many emergency services, they aren't funded by the NHS or Government, meaning every fundraiser and donation really does make a difference.

Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Service
Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Service (South Buckinghamshire), formerly known as Rape Crisis (Wycombe Chiltern & South Buckinghamshire), is a Charity established in 1995. We offer assistance to individuals aged 16 and older in South Buckinghamshire and Slough, regardless of their gender identity.

Wycombe Mind
At Wycombe Mind we believe that no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. We work hard to support anyone that needs our help and assistance in the Wycombe district; including High Wycombe, Marlow, and Princes Risborough. We offer peer support groups throughout the week as well as a number of activities from our centre and local venues. We are also involved directly with the community in the various outreach projects we run.

2023/24
Stokenchurch Dog Rescue
Stokenchurch Dog Rescue was formerly known as The High Wycombe & District Dog Rescue and Welfare Society. It was set up by local residents in 1963 to save the lives of stray, abandoned and unwanted dogs, as well as those impounded by the police. Since then, we have successfully rehomed thousands of dogs and are well known for our non-destruct policy.
Since the police gave up providing this service in recent years, stray and unwanted dogs are taken to council pounds. We now work closely with these organisations to ensure that we can rescue as many dogs as we are able and then find them safe and loving homes.
