Please share this on your social media and send the letter to your local MP. We are here to support you in fighting for what's right and we are stronger together.

We have been working closely with the University to make sure that our students have all the support that they need. The university has decided not to charge rent for students in their halls of residence for the current expected lockdown, which currently stands as 11 January to 28 February. If you are in private accommodation, there is a template you can access on our Advice Centre page for you to use as a letter to you landloard. You can also find an open letter from Vice Chancellor, Nick Braisby, to local landlords here.

Update, 11 February: Michelle Donelan MP, Minister of State for Universities replied to our letter. You can read her response here.

Update, 22 February: We recieved a response from the Department for Education. You can read their response here.

Update, 3 March: Steve Baker, MP for High Wycombe, replied to our letter. You can read his response here.
