    The Junction is a multi service drop in youth centre and we look after young people from age 12 to 18 years old (Up to age 25 SEND). We also run Girl's night every Mondays from 4pm - 9pm and we aim is to empower more females taking part in different activities and have a space where they feel comfortable to talk to us and we can provide the right support for themOur goal is to run a safe space where young people can make friends, be independent and take part in different activities such as;- Art and Craft - Life skills - Boxing - Dance - Cooking- Fifa tournament - Music workshop- Homework club - Pool Tournament and many more As a volunteer it will be great to support with some sessions that we run for example, leading on Art and Craft sessions or Dance. We are very flexible and we will provide support for the volunteers throughout.

    We run sports sessions for children and young people with disabilities. Our volunteers work 1:1 with the children in the class to support, encourage and work with the Coaches. You may teach a child to throw and catch a ball, you may play some football with them or even do a bit of dancing but whatever you do you will be making a huge difference to our members life.

    This is a chance to use social media for good and grow a small chairty. We are looking for a team of 1 or 2 volunteers to take on the challenge and spread the good word of Been There. The role is focusing on instagram and TikTok.Creating posts/reels using canva and or photoshop, writing copy, scheduling posts and engaging online. As a team we brainstorm weekly and you will always be supported by us.

  • Community Wellbeing Hub - BNU logo

    Buckinghamshire Community Wellbeing Hub volunteer

    Community Wellbeing Hub - BNU

    The Community Wellbeing Hub volunteer will support the programme of wellbeing activities that take place at the Hub on a weekly basis. The opportunity is flexible but you will need to commit to attending the hub for a minimum of 3 hours one day a week (to be agreed in advance with the Hub Manager).

    Duties of the volunteer are listed below:
    - Assist with the planning, set up, and clear up of groups and activities
    • Assist group/activity coordinators with leading groups and activities (games, crafts, music, exercise, yoga, etc.)
    • Participate in activities alongside service users/residents
    • Engage and chat with residents/service users 
    • Assist with the facilitation of support groups 
    • Assist healthcare professionals at the hub (social prescribers, social workers etc) with researching and updating information about local social and support activities 
    • Assist with the welcome and registration of participants to groups and activities
    • Help create promotional materials for groups and activities 
    • Assist with gathering feedback from participants about their experience/satisfaction with the activity or group

    Our office team need help to get through their large workload to support our front-line staff. We provide residential overnight Short Break services in BuckinghamshireWe are a registered Children’s Home delivering short breaks. All children have a learning disability and some have additional physical, health and/or sensory needs. The service provides a fun and stimulating environment, promoting positive peer relationships and independence skills.
