Performance Poetry Workshop- Sam Browne
Date: Wednesday 8th October 2025
Time: TBC - Afternoon
Location: Room TBC, High Wycombe Campus
Description:
Sam Browne is a poet who focuses on live spoken word. He found poetry at the age of 14 as a way of helping to deal with mental health struggles, and he's now using it as a way of expressing himself. He is hosting a workshop that will focus on reflection and journalling and provide the opportunity to express yourselves through poetry, both spoken and written. Most of Sam’s poems relate to mental health and personal experiences; he'll be sharing some of his own poetry as examples and then teach free writing where you can write your thoughts either in poem form or general writing.
All of us need a coping mechanism to stay mentally healthy and if journalling, writing or performing work for you, this will be a fabulous opportunity. Sam has over 70k followers on Instagram so the session, on Wednesday 8th October, is anticipated to be busy.
