Title: Positive action by men against gender-based violence workshop
Date: Tuesday 14th October 2025
Time: 12:00-13:00
Location: N3.13
Description:
Are you a male student who wants to take positive action to prevent gender-based violence (GBV) against other genders, but doesn't know how he can do so? Ever witnessed harmful behaviour from another male towards another gender, but was unsure how to respond? We are piloting workshops to try and address these topics. These are safe, non-judgemental spaces and are run by men for men.
Workshops are one hour in duration and held at the High Wycombe campus. Within a workshop we will:
- Explore the construct of masculinity, what might be considered harmful and positive ideas of masculinity and how this might relate to GBV
- Explore potentially meaningful and constructive ways men can influence positive change in society regarding gender-based violence against others
- Explore how harmful ideas of masculinity might impact male mental health
- Explore what is meant by GBV and who is impacted by it
- Highlight support pathways for mental wellbeing
Please note we are limited in spaces on these workshops. If you would like to book a space, please complete the sections below:
