The post holder will be responsible for logging new potential claims onto the database and will be responsible for providing accurate copies of medical records to solicitors, Coroner's etc.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate not only strong organisational and communication skills with a confident and polite telephone manner, but will also have the ability to effectively prioritise their own workload. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office - particularly Word and Excel - is essential.
It is an interesting and rewarding post with no two days the same, and whilst at times the work is fast paced and priorities may change quickly, if you can offer a solution focused, flexible, systematic and logical approach to work, this may be the job for you.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for logging and keeping an accurate record of new request for notes correspondence and solicitor queries, and identifying urgent correspondence for escalating to the Litigation Manager/Officer's
- Responsible for checking the litigation mailbox and managing the correspondence that comes into the team and escalating to the Litigation Manager/Officer's
- Reviewing patient records on Careflow Evolve, Rio, ICE, ICCA and other trust systems for vital information relevant to the case
- Enter all patient data accurately onto the Datix Risk Management system and ensuring the record is linked to any existing complaint or incident relating to the subject of the potential claim
- Responsible for disclosing medical records and identifying and disclosing all relevant documentation such as complaint files, Serious Incident reports, Policies, Guidelines etc to Trust Solicitors when experts are instructed for claims within the timescale set by Trust Solicitors
- Export electronic medical records securely (ensuring encrypted format) to disclose to Claimant and trust solicitors and HM Senior Coroner
- Export and transfer electronic medical records via secure email to trust solicitors using their secure email
