
What is a Sabbatical Officer?
Think you’ve got what it takes to lead your Students’ Union? Then why not stand for one of our full-time sabbatical officer roles - President, Vice President Education and Welfare (HW), Vice President Education and Welfare (UXB), and Vice President Student Involvement and earn a salary of £23,318. All of these roles offer an individual the opportunity to direct the work of the Students’ Union during their time in office meaning you can make the changes you want to see.
The President, the principal officer of the Union and responsible for setting the political direction of the Union and communication with all stakeholders. The Vice President Education and Welfare (VPEW) is responsible for improving and enhancing all students' educational experience and welfare at BNU. Finally, the Vice President Student Involvement (VPSI) is responsible for improving the non-academic experience of all students at Bucks, whether through sports teams, societies, volunteering or the many other opportunities on offer.
What am I voting for in this election?
Following a referendum and General Meeting, there was near unanimous enthusiasm and backing displayed for the introduction of a fourth Sabbatical Officer in last month’s General Meeting, and now it’s time to show your support one more time, and vote for who will be the first Vice President Education and Welfare (Uxbridge).
